Homelab on the CV when I've got no certs yet - how do I make it not sound like a hobby?

Applying for my first mid-level role. My homelab does more than some environments I've worked on (proper VLANs, monitoring, backups with actual restore tests, documented like prod). But on the CV it reads as 'plays with computers at weekends'.

How do you frame it so it lands as experience?

Write it like an environment, not a hobby: 'Design and operation of a 3-node virtualisation cluster: VLAN segmentation, monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana), tested backup/restore procedures, full documentation.' Then a link to the docs. The docs are the differentiator - most CVs claim, yours shows.

Also: 'restore tests' is the two-word phrase that will make any experienced interviewer sit up. Half the industry has backups; almost nobody tests restores. Lead with it.
